Norway is a nordic country well-loved for its breathtaking scenery: fjords, snow-capped mountains, etc. You will explore the city of Oslo, Bergen plus the Lofoten Archipelago. Oslo is the vibrant capital of Norway, with a thriving arts scene and captivating eclectic architecture. The city centre is the perfect size to get about by foot, which allows you to explore the myriad museums that Oslo offers at your own pace. Bergen, a city surrounded by seven fjords and hills, is a UNESCO heritage city and thoroughly charming, with traditional wooden houses.

The Lofoten Islands are a unique archipelago and are located beyond the Arctic Circle with so many breathtaking views, dramatic mountains and incredible beaches. You will embark on a dynamic and exciting excursion on this unique drive all along the archipelago in search of the Northern Light. While sightings are never guaranteed exquisite natural scenery is always part of the excursion.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 0
Depart for Oslo
Assemble at airport for check in for departure to Oslo.
DAY 1
Oslo
Arrive Oslo in the morning. Spend the day to explore the city. Sightseeing features the National Theatre, the unique Storting building, seat of Parliament; and the Royal Palace, residence of Norwegian monarchs since 1849. Stroll through magnificent Frogner Park with Gustav Vigeland’s extraordinary sculptures; and visit the City Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony is held each year.
DAY 2
Oslo – Bergen
Today we will board the famous train journey from Oslo to Bergen. Often described as Europe’s most beautiful train journey, this epic trip takes you through some of Scandinavia’s most beautiful landscapes: climbing canyons, crossing rivers, burrowing through mountainsides and traversing barren icescapes and is a must-do for anyone making the trip from Oslo to Bergen.
In just over six hours and 490km of travel, you will reach Bergen, Norway’s second largest city and the world’s only city surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords. You’ll find the iconic Bryggen, Bergen’s wharf, as well as a fish market and other famous historic sites within the city.
DAY 3
Bergen
You will explore Bergen area with several optional excursions. You may experience Norway’s most popular excursion, Norway in a Nutshell. The excursion takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway’s fjord region; you will travel by train across the Hardangervidda Mountain Plateau and the Flåm Railway will take you through wild and beautiful mountain scenery and down to the Sognefjord.
From Flåm you continue by boat on the Nærøyfjord, Europe’s narrowest fjord, to Gudvangen. From here you go by coach to Voss, where you will board a train for the last stretch of journey back to Bergen.
DAY 4
Bergen – Evenes
Board a flight from Bergen to Evenes where you will spend 2 nights in the famous archipelago of Lofoten, considered as one of the most beautiful places in the world. The wild nature of the Lofoten Islands is very beautiful in winter especially when the northern lights come out at night. Every outing in the region is framed by rugged mountain tops that rise straight from the sea.
Lofoten is also home to the colourful fishing villages with the characteristic “rorbuer” (fishermen’s cabins), local handicrafts, and rich history that dates back to the Vikings.
DAY 5
Lofoten
Today we will explore Lofoten islands. You’ll explore the secluded beaches, rugged mountains, and charming villages of this extraordinary region. You will spend some time exploring the beautiful Svolvear and the fishing village of Henningsvær.
Next, you will drive south of Lofoten where the coastline becomes more rugged and wild. Take the opportunity to stop at a few of the beaches along the way before continuing to the picturesque seaside town of Reine.
DAY 6 & 7
Evenes – Oslo via flight. Depart Kul on next day
Transfer to airport for flight back home.
