DAY 2

Madrid

Spend the day at exploring the city of Madrid – Spain’s central capital, a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks.  It’s renowned for its rich repositories of European art.

We will begin with a city tour of Madrid features Royal Palaca, Puerto del Sol, Plaza Espana with its Cervantes Monument, Palacio de Communicazione, Cibeles Fountain, Plaza Colom and Placio.  After that visit to Estadio Santiago Bernabeu (Real Madrid Stadium).   In the evening, we may visit Las Rozas Village for exciting shopping time.

DAY 3

Madrid – Cordoba (394km)

Drive south through the arid landscapes of Don Quixote’s La Mancha to Cordoba, where sightseeing include the Mezquita de Cordoba, famous for its 850 pillars of porphyry, marble, and jasper, the Roman Bridge, and the remains of the Alcazar.

The Mezquita de Cordoba is by far the most exquisite example of the Muslim fabric in Spain. Its giant arches, jasper columns, marble floors, richly gilded prayer niches, and the awe-inspiring domed shrine of Byzantine mosaics take you back to when Córdoba was under Muslim influence.

The tour will take you around the mosque. Admire the Prayer Hall, the Mihrab, and the famous red and white arches. Explore the courtyard of the complex, called the Patio de los Naranjos. Soak up the atmosphere of this peaceful space with lots of greenery, and marvel at the beautiful Bell Tower.

DAY 4

Cordoba – Seville (142km)

Today’s tour will take you to the capital of Andalusia, Seville, to visit UNESCO heritage sites ~ Cathedral & Alcazar. The Alcazar of Seville is the oldest royal palace in use in Europe. It was devised as a fortress to protect the Muslim authorities. Its status as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO confirms its importance as milestones in Hispano-Muslim architecture.

We will later visit to magnificent Plaza de Espana, set of the movies Lawrence of Arabia and Star Wars. Admire Maria Luisa Park, the Golden Tower on the Guadalquivir River.  Also visit the magnificent CASA DE PILATOS, a mixture of Moorish and Roman architecture with a splendid collection of Roman sculptures.

DAY 5

Seville – Granada (250km)

We will visit Granada’s main attraction – the Alhambra Palace.  The mighty yet graceful citadel was planned by the 13th century Moorish ruler Al Ahamar. It is a combination of water springs, gardens and architecture of indescribable beauty. No surprise, it is considered as one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.

Alhambra was Spain’s last Islamic Kingdom inhabited jointly by Muslims, Jews and Christians. The Alhambra is the main jewel of this beautiful city. Visit the Royal Palace, Alcazaba and the surrounding palaces, gardens, patios and towers. An outstanding feature are the Gardens of Generalife, which was the summer residence for the King.

DAY 6

Granada – Toledo (366km)

Immerse yourself in the medieval majesty of Toledo, a UNESCO-listed site replete with historical monuments.  Toledo is one of the Spanish cities with he greatest wealth of monuments, known as the “city of the three cultures”, because Christians, Arabs and Jews lived together there for centuries.

You will be taken to a best vantage point on Circunvalacion Road to see the panorama of the city where the Tagus makes her most pronounced bend.
